LYDIA ILUSSIA: The spiritual guide who transforms the soul through tarot and the shadow

Today you're going to meet an extraordinary woman who not only heard that calling, but made it her life's purpose. Lydia Ilussia is much more than a spiritual guide: she's a pioneer in the art of transforming pain into wisdom, fear into strength, and confusion into absolute clarity.

In this exclusive interview, Lydia reveals secrets she's never shared publicly before. You'll discover how her self-knowledge led her to write "Understand Your Magic ," why shadow work is the key to spiritual growth that no one tells you about, and what morning ritual completely changed her life (and that you can do too).

Keep reading and discover how tarot can be much more than a divination tool: it can be a mirror of the soul. 🌙✨

Meet the spiritual guide

Lydia opens her heart to us in this segment, sharing her most authentic self. It's a presentation that many women on their spiritual journey will recognize.

For those who don't know you yet, how would you introduce yourself?

" I'm Lydia Ilussia, a tarot reader, ritualist , content creator, and spiritual guide. In short: I live surrounded by cards, candles, crystals, and a strong desire to share magic with others.

What is the story behind what you do today?

" Ever since I was little, I've always been drawn to the esoteric and spiritual. There wasn't a specific moment when it started; it's been a very natural process. Over time, I decided to expand it and take it beyond my immediate circle to help more people, and it's the best thing he could have ever done.

What motivates you each morning to continue on your path? What is your purpose or reason for doing what you do?

" What motivates me most is my community… Knowing that there are people on the other side who feel supported by what I do… that's priceless. It also reminds me every day that I'm not walking this path alone, and it's incredibly satisfying to know that I can help and guide them to find themselves."

The path of a spiritual guide: challenges, shadows, and light

In this segment, Lydia shares her biggest challenge as a spiritual guide: facing the insecurity of starting out. An experience many female entrepreneurs will recognize.

How did you start your personal project/journey?

" I started when I realized I didn't want to limit myself to just my close circle. I was living everything very 'on my own,' but I felt I was destined to share my knowledge and experience with more people, and I decided to take that step."

What was the biggest challenge you faced at the beginning?

" The insecurity and fear of not knowing if it would really work out… that nagging feeling that only goes away if you take the plunge and… spoiler alert : it worked out. ❤️

What moment marked a turning point in your journey?

" Publishing my first book, Understand Your Magic , was like opening a huge door to open myself up to others and to my own soul. I think it has been the most special point of this whole journey.

If you could go back, what advice would you give yourself when you were starting out?

" You don't need to have all the answers or control everything... The path is discovered by walking, and fears are like a backpack: they weigh you down, but they don't stop you from moving forward."

Inspiration and purpose: the magic of self-knowledge

What does living with purpose mean to you?

" Living with purpose is living with enthusiasm, with a real reason to get up every day. It's feeling that what you do has meaning, both for yourself and for others."

Is there any experience or person that has greatly influenced your outlook on life?

" Working on my shadow. That process transformed me from within and gave me a much deeper understanding of who I am and where I want to go. It's painful work, but when you master it… you're freed and begin to see that life purpose we were talking about earlier.

What practices or habits are essential in your daily life?

" My morning meditation with amethyst and a good matcha 🍵. And above all... finding a moment each day, without fail, to go outside and reconnect with the earth and nature. That, for me, is the cornerstone of my daily life."

Message for the spiritual community

What advice would you give to a woman who wants to start or create her own project?

" Don't wait until everything is perfect. We never have it all figured out at the beginning. Fear will be there, but go for it anyway. You'll find your way along the way."

How do you manage moments of doubt or feeling stuck?

" Silence. A lot of silence. I'm one of those people who need to stop, isolate themselves a bit, and listen to themselves until clarity arrives. It's not being a hermit (although a little bit...), it's that need to give the mind space.

Complete the sentence: “The best thing I will learn on my journey is…”

" …that true power was always within me.

Closing: rituals and sacred tools

What are your dreams for the coming years?

" I dream of continuing to create, expanding my world and sharing it in new ways. I have projects that are still there, half-built, but they all have something in common: they seek to help people look inward and discover their own magic. It's as if I'm weaving new tools to accompany others on their journey… Little by little, they will be revealed. To understand our magic, we need a long journey."

If you could leave a message for all the women reading this right now, what would it be?

" May they never forget that they are the most important person in their own life. May they choose themselves, even when they tremble while doing so. May they look in the mirror and say 'I can ,' even if inside, fear says otherwise. May they praise themselves, even with tears in their eyes."

"Fears are like a backpack: they weigh you down, but they don't stop you from moving forward." – Lydia Ilusa

AURIUS QUESTIONS – Lydia's Must-Haves

📚 A book you always recommend (and why):
The Kybalion. It's one of those books you read and suddenly everything falls into place: the cosmos, the laws that govern it, and your own place within it. It's not light reading for the beach, but it's definitely one of those books that changes your perspective.

🎬 A movie or series that marked your life:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonfascinates me because it jolts you with a question: what if time weren't as we believe it to be? It makes you rethink how you experience each stage of life.

🎶 A song that always gives you a boost of energy:
"Vuela Alto"by Mägo de Oz. For me, that song is an energy boost, a dose of reality, and a... come on, keep going.

🌍 A place in the world you would always return to:
Anywhere in Northern Spain. They are a group of provinces that have a special charm… and I would return again and again to visit those same destinations.

🌸 An item that's always in your bag/altar/nightstand:
A labradorite. It's my talisman stone. I have so many that it's like a secret collection scattered all over my house (and purse, altar, nightstand... they're everywhere, hahaha).

🔥 A guilty pleasureyou love to confess:
Binge-watching some lighthearted series. Nothing profound, nothing esoteric… just the sofa, a blanket, and episodes on repeat. And yes, I laugh at myself later for going from reading about the cosmos to getting hooked on any absurd drama, buuuut, I enjoy it. 💅

🌙 A character who deeply inspires you:
Carl Jung.I find his vision of the unconscious and the shadow brilliant. And hey, if I talk so much about "shadow work" these days, I owe it in part to him.
